Resonym will release Retrograde, a real-time roll-and-write game, into retail in Q4 2022.
Retrograde is inspired by the scroll-down 80s arcade games of the past, such as Space Invaders and Missile Command. In this game, the Evil Astrodroids are invading planet Earth and players need to roll dice as fast as they can in an attempt to shoot them down. Their goal is to roll combos depicted on the invading cards, then the spend dice to add the destroyed Astrodroids to their out-of-commission sheet. Players need to roll fast or opponents might shoot down cards they were aiming for.
The game box comes with 26 custom Astrodroid dice, 100 unique roll and write sheets, 45 Target cards, and 4 markers. This game is for one to four players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 30 to 35 minutes. It will retail for $29.95.
