Skybound has shared details about three upcoming party games planned for this year:  Whine Night, Boo-ty Call, and No Context, as well as Travel by Trolley, the Trial by Trolley Vacation Expansion.

Whine Night, by new designer Jennifer Everett, is a party game about complaining.  Drawing from the game’s 300 prompt cards, the players all whine about the subject at hand, such as “What is something you hate to ask for” or “what is the worst gift you ever received from a significant other”, and then vote to award points to the player who whines the best.

The game will release on March 22 and is intended for 2 to 8 players, ages 14 and up.  Includes 300 prompt cards.  Games play in about 15 minutes or longer.  MSRP is $19.99.

Intended for a more mature audience, Boo-ty Call combines social deduction and seduction, putting players in a séance where they try to identify which “hot ghost” is looking for a hookup.  Players must act out or use spectral noises to give clues about the haunting spirits.

Originally part of the Extra Fabulous Kickstarter campaign, Boo-ty Call was created by Dan Stong.  Comes with 60 séance cards and 42 ghost profile cards.  Designed for 3 to 8 players, ages 17 and up.  Plays in around 20 minutes.  MSRP is $17.99.  Releasing on April 19.

No Context asks players to create links between random artwork created by comic artist Mr. Lovenstein.  Players try to guide each other to correctly guess their cards while at the same time trying to guess their opponents’ cards faster than the others.  Releasing on May 31.

No Context was created by Banana Chan (Betrayal at Mystery Mansion) and Jason Slingerland (Unreal Estate).  Includes 110 image cards, 42 betting cards, 7 target cards, and a game board.  Playable by 2 to 6 players, ages 13 and up, in about half an hour.  MSRP is $24.99.

On June 28, Skybound will also release an expansion set for 2020’s Trial by Trolley, produced in partnership with Cyanide & Happiness (see “Skybound Will Release the Next Game from Cyanide and Happiness”).  The Travel by Trolley Vacation Expansion introduces 200 new tracks and modifiers to the game.  The cards in this set feature vacation destinations from different parts of the world as well as the kinds of obstacles one might encounter when travelling.  MSRP is $17.99.

In November, ICv2 had an opportunity to speak with Skybound’s Vice President of Product and Strategy Garima Sharma about the company’s shift towards casual and party style games (see “ICv2 Interview:  Skybound’s Garima Sharma”).
