Bushiroad has teased some details about their plans for new expansions for the Weiss Schwarz trading card game, including Guilty Gear Strive, Lycoris Recoil, and Spy x Family.
Guilty Gear Strive will be an English Edition Original expansion for the game and will feature artwork from hncl (“Hungry Clicker”), who has collaborated on other Guilty Gear projects in the past. This set is based on the latest title in the Arc System Works series of fighting video games. The Guilty Gear Strive set will release in Winter 2023.
The anime Lycoris Recoil will feature in its own Weiss Schwarz set, which will highlight the assassins Takina Inoue and Chisato Nshikigi, who work undercover as high school students in Tokyo as they deal with terrorists and other threats to the peace of the city.
Rounding out the new announcements is an upcoming set based on the Spy x Family series, about a spy whose undercover family includes an assassin and a telepathic adopted daughter.
Release dates for Lycoris Recoil and Spy x Family have not been announced.
The Hololive Production Vol. 2 set for Weiss Schwarz will release this summer (see “GAMA Expo News: Bushiroad Unveils New ‘Weiss Schwarz TCG’ Booster Set”), followed by Nazarick: Tomb of the Undead Vol. 2 (see “Bushiroad Announces Q3 Releases”) and Revue Starlight The Movie (see “Bushiroad Announces ‘Weiss Schwarz: Revue Starlight The Movie’”) in the fall.
