Longtime industry veteran Jim Sokolowski wrote on his LinkedIn page that he has moved on from his post as Vice President – Associate Publisher at Dynamite Entertainment.  Sokolowski moved from DC Comics to Dynamite in 2021 (see “Dynamite Adds ‘Ski’ to Team”), during the waves of layoffs at DC.  “Dynamite and I have gone our separate ways,” he wrote on LinkedIn.  “I'm not looking for a VP/Dir. Level gig, but if you have a lower/mid level needs, I'd love to connect.”  Before coming to Dynamite, Sokolowski was VP, Comic Book Specialty & Newsstand Sales at DC and before that, he was SVP, Sales & Business Development at Archie Comics (see “‘Ski’ Joins Archie Comics”) and Chief Operating Officer/Publishing at Marvel Comics.

When IDW Publishing announced a raft of personnel changes earlier this week (see “Josh Frankel to Be New IDW CDO”), they left one name off the list: Heather Antos, who has been promoted to Group Editor, Licensing, according to Popverse.  Antos has been editing IDW’s Star Trek comics, and now she will oversee the publisher’s other licensed titles as well.  Antos started her comics career at Marvel, where as an Assistant Editor she also worked on licensed comics, including the relaunch of Star Wars when Marvel Comics got the license back, and she also was the co-creator of Gwenpool.  She was also a Senior Editor at Valiant Entertainment before coming to IDW (see “IDW Promotes Erika Turner”).

Mike Armstrong has left his post as Vice President, New Initiatives at ReedPop for what he describes on his Facebook as “a new role that I’m excited about.”  Armstrong was with ReedPop for almost 15 years, starting out in live events (his first position with the company was Sales Executive for Star Wars Celebration) and eventually, as VP, working on expanding the convention experience in other ways, including digital initiatives and the online marketplace The Haul (see “ICv2 Interview: ReedPop Vice President Mike Armstrong”).
