The Pokemon Company International will release My First Battle, a new entry-level two-player starter set for Pokemon TCG, into retail on September 29, 2023.

This set is aimed at helping Trainers and retailers get family and friends started on their first Pokemon TCG adventure. It teaches two players to play a streamlined game of Pokemon TCG with foolproof guidance.  It comes with everything two players need to start up a game: 2 mini decks (17 cards each), 2 playmats, a rulebook, a large metallic Pokemon coin, a sheet of damage counters, and 6 Prize tokens. There are two different decks, one that contains Bulbasaur and Pikachu and another with Charmander and Squirtle.

Each of these decks will retail for $9.99.
