Wizards of the Coast unveiled Fall Superdrop 2023, the next batch of Secret Lair sets for Magic: The Gathering, which are now on direct-to-consumer preorder.

This round of Secret Lair drops is very strange and pushes the limits of variant artwork a little further towards the edge. There are a lot of very stylized cards in this Superdrop, but by far the most eye-catching ones are the Planeswalker baseball cards. These Magic cards have frames and art that look like a throwback to late 60s baseball cards or perhaps the Topps Gypsy Queen series.

The following sets will be offered in the Fall 2023 Superdrop:

  • Absolute Annihilation (MSRP $29.99; Foil $39.99): This set comes with an Oppression, an Abrade, a Mass Hysteria, and a Terminate.
  • Now on VHS! (MSRP $29.99; Foil $39.99): The set features Magic cards as VHS cover art. It comes with a Rewind, a Food Chain, a Rampant Growth, and The First Silver.
  • Magic: The Baseballing (MSRP $29.99; Foil $39.99): This is the aforementioned planeswaker baseball card set. It features Ajani Goldmane, Jace Beleren, Liliana Vess, Chandra Nalaar, and Garruk Wildspeaker.
  • Artist Series: Kev Walker (MSRP $29.99; Foil $39.99): This set showcases the art of Kev Walker. It contains a Faeburrow Elder, a Carnage Tyrant, a Fleshbag Marauder, and an It That Betrays.
  • Keep Partying Hard, Shred Harder Than You Previously Thought Possible (MSRP $29.99; Foil $39.99): It is another heavy metal art-style set. The set comes with a Tevesh Szat, Doom of Fools, a Godo, Bandit Warlord, a Jeska, Thrice Reborn, and a Vial Smasher the Fierce.
  • Featuring: Gary Baseman (MSRP $29.99; Foil $39.99): The set comes with one of each of the basic lands rendered by Gary Basemen.
  • Buggin' Out (MSRP $29.99; Foil $39.99): The set comes with an Eldritch Evolution, a Giant Adephage, a Noxious Revival, a Grist, the Hunger Tide, and a Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest.

This drop also can be purchased in four different bundles.  The This One is for My Non-Foils Bundle comes with one of each of the entirely non-foil sets for $179.99, and the This One is Dedicated to My Foils Bundle comes with one of each of the entirely foil ones for $239.99.  The Bugs, Bands, and Blockbusters bundles come with Keep Partying Hard, Shred Harder Than You Previously Thought Possible, Buggin' Out, and Now on VHS! The non-foil bundle is $79.99 and the foil bundle is $105.99.
