"Explore the Store" is ICv2's new feature series of articles that showcase the layout, inventory, and decor of local gaming and comic book stores across the United States. Recently, ICv2 visited the Torpedo Comics at 7300 Arroyo Crossing Pkwy #105, Las Vegas, Nevada 89113 on September 18, 2023.

ICv2's once every two-year trip to Torpedo Comics (see "Torpedo Comics" and also, "Explore the Store: Torpedo Comics") showed some potential trends in high-end comics retail. Torpedo has been ICv2's go-to for seeing what high end retail is like in an area flush with cash (Vegas slot machine jackpots need to get spent somewhere). On the last visit, Torpedo was coming out of COVID-19 shutdown mode, and a lot of the Silver Age holy grail comics they once had were sold during the height of the 2021 collectibles market. This trip showed a store that was in the middle of shifting its inventory from these types of books to other high-end collectibles.
