Warner Bros. Discovery President of Global Brands, Franchises, and Experiences Pam Lifford is leaving to company to focus on a family healthcare issue, and DC President Jim Lee and General Manager Anne De Pies will report directly to Lifford’s boss, DC has confirmed. Lifford had previously reported to WBD Chief Revenue and Strategy Officer Bruce Campbell; Lee and De Pies will now report to Campbell directly.
Campbell comes from the Discovery side of the WarnerMedia – Discovery merger; he was the lead negotiator on the deal from the Discovery side, and also led several previous acquisitions by Discovery during his 15-year tenure there. Prior to his time at Discovery, Campbell was also a dealmaker at NBCUniversal, where he led the negotiations with News Corp that created the Hulu streaming service.
Lifford, a veteran of Disney Consumer Products, was appointed in 2018 to her current role (see “Pam Lifford New DC Boss”), in which she oversaw multiple rounds of brutal DC bloodletting (see “WarnerMedia Layoffs Hit DC, Again”).
The change will take effect on November 27, the company said.
