James Pruett, formerly of Scout Comics, has agreed to become Chief Creative Officer of Silverline Publishing, run by Roland Mann. Pruett was previously Publisher of Scout Comics from 2016 (see “Scout Comics Names Publisher”) to 2021 and again in 2022 (see “Pruett Back in at Scout”).

His goals are to help “plan the future for Silverline” and “take them to the next level.” One of his first actions is to get Silverline back into the Diamond Previews catalog with Trumps.

Trumps #1, a 24-page science fiction/fantasy/superhero comic book, will be released February 14, 2024, and can be ordered from the December Previews. Creators are Roland Mann, Anthony Pereira, Thomas Florimonte, and Sid Venblu. The story involves four kingdoms, Diamonds, Clubs, Hearts, and Spades, waging war to see who will become Trumps. The series has previously released issues via crowdfunding.
