The showbiz news just keeps on coming in, and it's time for a mid-week round-up.

Warner Bros. Pictures released a new trailer for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (see below).  This movie is headed to theaters on December 22, 2024 (see "Best in Shows -- 2023").

Pedro Pascal is reportedly in talks with Marvel Studios to join their Fantastic Four movie, according to Deadline.  The star of The Mandalorian may end up playing the role Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic in this new movie, which had recently been pushed back to February 14, 2025 (see "Best in Shows -- 2025").

Warner Bros.' Dune Part 2 has been bumped up a few weeks, according to Variety.  It will now open nationwide on March 1, 2024 instead of March 15, 2024.  This movie had previously been pushed back from a November 3, 2023 open due to the SAG-AFTRA strike (see "'Dune").

Marvel Studios made a number of adjustments to their schedule, according to Variety.  Deadpool 3, which had vacated its May 3, 2024 release date due to it being in an unfinished state (see "'Deadpool 3' Pushed Back"), is headed for a July 26, 2024 release.  This pushed Captain America: Brave New World onto February 14, 2025.  Also, Thunderbolts is migrating from December 20, 2024 to July 25, 2025, and Blade will go from February 15, 2025 to November 7, 2025.

On the Disney side, Mufasa: The Lion King moved from July 5, 2024 date to December 20, 2024.  This movie was announced back in 2019 (see "'The Lion King'").

The Warners optioned the rights to Alien Legion, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  This film will be based The Alien Legion comic book published in 1984 by Marvel, and it will be directed by Tim Miller who did the first Deadpool movie (see " 'Deadpool' Director").
