Looney Labs announced Jinxx, a new abstract strategy game, for release into retail on May 3, 2024.
In Jinxx, players strategically place pyramid-shaped piece on a three by three grid to vie for control of the center area. The pyramid pieces come in three different size and four colors, and are designed to be stacked. On their turn, players roll a die to determine their possible moves, and use their moves to capture an opponent's piece or seize a better position on the board. If a player owns the topmost pyramids in any three-space line through the center of the board, they win the game.
This game is for two to four players, age 8 and up, and plays in 15 to 30 minutes. It will retail for $22.
Looney Labs will also release Camping Fluxx, a new edition of the classic card game (see "'Fluxx' Heads to the Great Outdoors").
