Last Gasp has licensed Ultra Heaven, with more psychedelic manga from Keiichi Koike, the creator of Heaven’s Door, which Last Gasp licensed in 2019 (see “Psychedelic Manga”).  Ultra Heaven will be published in three volumes; Last Gasp has begun translations, but has not yet announced final format, pricing, or release date. Ultra Heaven is a science fiction saga, and like his other work, is strongly influenced by Koike’s experiences with hallucinogenic drugs.

Last Gasp’s Heaven’s Door, announced in 2019 and released in 2022, was a collection of short stories, the first complete volume of works by Keiichi Koike to be published in English.  He also had a short story in Humanoids’ 2016 anthology The Tipping Point.
