"While manga sales were down from the Covid highs in 2023, they remain well above pre-Covid sales and are the top graphic novel category," ICv2 Publisher Milton Griepp said in a statement accompanying the announcement. "There is a lot of opportunity in the category with the right strategies, and retailers need the right information to navigate it. We’re proud to continue our tradition of devoting a week to in-depth coverage of manga, and we want to thank our sponsors, VIZ Media, Yen Press, UVS Games, and Tokyopop."
