Rio Grande Games will release Southern Pacific, a new train game by John Bohrer, into retail in spring 2024.
In Southern Pacific, the Civil War is over and Robber Barons building rails across Texas into the Southwest. Players will take on the roles of these Robber Barons and try to build up their railroads to form the most lucrative routes. There is no luck element to this game, players will try to win with their wits alone and make their stockholders rich at the end of the game.
This game is for three to five players and plays in 30-60 minutes. It will retail for $39.95.
Rio Grande Games will also re-release Roll for the Galaxy, a dice game version of Race for the Galaxy (see "'Roll for the Galaxy' Returns").
