Bezier Games will release Rebel Princess, a card game based loosely on the Hearts mechanic, at Gen Con 2024, the company announced.

This trick-taking game has three to six players who are all princesses trying to avoid Prince Cards, each of which represents one marriage proposal, and especially the Frog Prince, who represents five marriage proposals.  At the beginning of the game, players choose a Princess with a unique ability that can be used to avoid suitors once each round, and then play five rounds, one for each day of an extended ball.  There’s also a Shoot the Moon mechanic called Rebel of the Ball, for a player who gathers all off the marriage proposals and scores 10 negative proposals.

Rebel Princess Deluxe Edition is designed by Daniel Byrne, Gerardo Guerrero, Kevin Pelaez, and Tirso Virgos, with art by Alfredo Caceres.

The game will be offered in two editions.  Rebel Princess Deluxe Edition will include 26 round cards and 12 princess tiles, plus deluxe components two new Princesses and 6 new Round cards, and upgraded card formats.  The Deluxe Edition will carry a $24.95 MSRP.  The Standard Edition will carry a lower, as yet undisclosed, price point.
