GAMA has moved the dates of GAMA Expo, its annual trade show, two weeks to avoid conflict with Toy Fair’s dates, which were overlapping several days of the GAMA show, the organization announced.  The 2024 dates for GAMA Expo are moving from March 3-6, 2025 two weeks earlier to February 23-27, with Toy Fair running March 1-4.  This will allow exhibitors and attendees to do both shows, with a (short) gap in between.

Beyond avoiding the conflict, GAMA was also looking to make sure it had the capacity to handle the record numbers of exhibitors and attendees at the 2024 show (see "Record GAMA Expo Wraps Up"), which would not have been available on the original dates. “To step backwards from what we delivered this year is unacceptable,” GAMA Executive Director John Stacy said in communicating the change.

Accommodating other events in the venues will alter the exhibit hall hours somewhat, concentrating them in two days instead of three.  The GAMA Expo exhibit hall will be open 2-6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, and 9-5 p.m. on Thursday, February 27. Seminars and presentations will begin on Sunday, as before.

Since the change of dates for next year required some juggling by the Kentucky International Convention Center and GALT House, they required that GAMA enter into an extension of their agreement, which will put the show I Louisville for an additional year.  GAMA Expo will now be held in Louisville in 2027 as well as 2024-2026.
