Organizers for AdeptiCon, the rapidly growing Chicago-area gaming miniatures convention, have announced that the event will be moved to Milwaukee for the 2025 and subsequent shows.  The move is being made because the show has outgrown its recent space at the Schaumberg Convention Center in the northwest Chicago suburb of Schaumburg, Illinois.

Organizers pegged 2024 AdeptiCon attendance at around 8,000, with 20% growth over 2023 attendance.  The Schaumburg venue has around 150,000 square feet of convention space, and the Baird Center, the Milwaukee convention center where the 2025 event will be held, has over 1 million square feet; AdeptiCon will triple its space between 2024 and 2025.

Perhaps the best news is that parking for the Baird Center is plentiful; parking in Schaumburg was insufficient, and required parking in remote lots and shuttling to the convention center for some.

This will be the biggest game convention in Milwaukee since the departure of Gen Con in 2003.  That show was moved to Indianapolis for more space after the final Milwaukee Gen Con in 2002, which hosted over 23,000 attendees (see “Gen Con Announces New Shows for 2003”).

AdeptiCon will be held March 26 to March 30, 2025 at the Baird Center in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
