Image Comics has announced several new hires recently in its Sales, Marketing, and Inventory departments.

José Meza has come on board as the new Specialty Sales Coordinator, replacing Jon Schlaffman, who is now a Production Artist.  His previous experience includes Project Manager at Exhibit Options and Consumer Sales Lead at BOOM! Studios.  At Image, he will be handling day-to-day sales coordination of the retailer exclusive covers program.

Dan Coyle is the new Marketing Content Associate, taking the place of Andrew Friedman, who was promoted into the Production Department as a Content Manager.  Coyle was a street team member for Shortboxed; his duties at Image will include supporting the Marketing Department with newsletters, website content, and other materials.  He will report directly to Publicist Cat Nuwer, who was hired in May 2024.

Pat O’Connell, the new Inventory Manager, will oversee the movement of all Image inventory between printers, distributors, and creators, focusing on keeping stock available in order to maintain sales momentum.  He has over 14 years’ experience in the business, with stints at DC Comics, Dynamite Entertainment, and IDW Publishing.
