Stonemaier Games has announced Rolling Realms Redux, an all-new stand-alone but compatible follow-up to the 2021 roll-and-write game.  The game will be released into the trade on September 6 following a July 24 launch.

Like the original Rolling Realms (see “Stonemaier Games Announces ‘Rolling Realms’”), Rolling Realms Redux challenges players to earn stars by completing mini-games in a variety of “realms” inspired by popular games.  All players use the same dice rolls and the same realms, marking their choices on the game’s dry-erase boards.  It is completely compatible with the original game, offering more variety in realms and gameplay.

This new entry in the series features a dozen new realms that have not been available before, in addition to a printed version of the game’s rulebook that explains all currently available realms.  A solo version of the game using an “Automa” is also included.  The game box is designed to hold all of the realms from the new version, the original version, and all promo realms, and it comes with a smaller “travel” box for playing on the go.

Rolling Realms Redux includes realms designed by Karel Titeca and developed by Jamey Stegmaier and features artwork by Marius Petrescu and Miles Bensky.  The game includes 72 realm cards, 6 score cards, 6 resource cards, 14 solo play cards, 8 divider cards, 2 custom dice, 6 dry erase markers, 3 rulebooks, and a travel tuckbox.  It supports play by 1 to 6 players and is intended for ages 14 and up.  Games take about half an hour to play.

This month, Stonemaier Games is releasing an expansion for Expeditions into distribution (see “‘Expeditions’ Expansion Heads to Retail”), and they announced Vantage, a major release planned for next year (see “Stonemaier Games Unveils ‘Vantage’”).
