Jim Zub announced he has signed a multi-year deal with Heroic Signatures. He will continue writing the monthly Conan the Barbarian comic as well as related items, such as event mini-series and Savage Sword of Conan. The deal is non-exclusive, allowing Zub to work with other publishers. Conan the Barbarian is co-published by Titan Comics (see "Zub Stories Span the Hyborian Age").
Said Zub, "Working on such an important character and building out this vibrant mythology over a longer span is both an honor and a privilege, one that I don’t take for granted… None of this would have been possible without reader and retailer support, so thank you for helping make my dreams come true."
With this news came mention that the black-and-white magazine-sized Savage Sword of Conan will continue for a second year. Contents include a feature story by Roy Thomas and Rob De La Torre and a King Conan tale by Jason Aaron and Geof Isherwood.
