DC has announced Milestone Universe: The Shadow Cabinet, a four-issue miniseries that will bring together the principal characters of the Milestone Universe with The Shadow Cabinet for the first time since DC relaunched the Milestone Universe in 2020. The miniseries is being written by Joseph P. Illidge, who began his career at Milestone, with art by Darryl Banks and Atagun Ilhan. The 40-page first issue will be released on November 20, 2024, with a cover by Milestone co-founder Denys Cowan and variants by Nikolas Draper-Ivey and Sean Murphy.

The Shadow Cabinet was an original Milestone superhero team that was incorporated into the DC Universe in 2008. Milestone Universe: The Shadow Cabinet kicks off with Rocket at the helm of the Milestone Universe; with a new supervillain team presenting a serious threat to the Earth, the Shadow Cabinet reach out to recruit her, but first they will have to earn her trust.

DC began publishing its revamped version of the Milestone Universe in 2020 with the one-shot Milestone Returns #0 in 2020 (see "Milestone Return to DC Comics Scheduled"), and this miniseries is the climax of the story that began there. Since then, DC has built out the Milestone Universe with several series focusing on individual characters (see "DC Rolls Out New Milestone Titles").
