Dark Horse Comics will release color hardcover editions of the entire Original Quest storyline of ElfQuest, by Wendy and Richad Pini, in 2025, the company announced. The stories will be released in four volumes, beginning with ElfQuest: The Original Quest Book 1 on February 25 in the book channel and February 26 in comic stores, continuing with ElfQuest: The Original Quest Book 2 on May 20 in the book channel and May 21 in comic stores, and with the other two volumes before the end of 2025.
Color collections of the early material were originally published by Donning, and most recently by DC Comics in archive editions (see "DC Acquires ‘ElfQuest’ Rights"), but these are the first color collections from Dark Horse.
"The quest of the title—a search for identity, for home, for family—though decades in the telling—is today more contemporary, relevant...and needed… than ever," Wendy and Richard Pini said of the stories in these collections. "From forest to mountain, from desert to frozen waste, you’re in for one hell of a howling good thrill-ride."
The 176-page 6.625" x 10.1875" hardcovers will retail for $29.99.
