King of Tokyo Duel, a strategic King of Tokyo game for two players, will be released in the U.S. from IELLO Games on October 4. The new game by Richard Garfield and Quentin Regnes gives players three ways to win by mastering six different monsters with asymmetrical powers.
Players choose a monster with a unique power and roll the dice up to three times, pull the marker to win Fame and/or Destruction, buy Power cards to become even stronger and use Buzz Tokens to speed the road to victory.
King of Tokyo Duel is for players 8 and up and plays in around 20 minutes. The box includes 6 Monster Boards, 1 board, 8 dice, 50 Power cards, 2 Life point trackers, stickers, Markers, Dice and Buzz tokens, Energy cubes, and Rulebook. MSRP is a 2024 perfect $24.99.
It’s been a while since there was a new King of Tokyo product; IELLO released the micro expansion King of Tokyo: Even More Wicked early last year (see "’KoT’ Gets ‘Even More Wicked’").
