Iello Games will release King of Tokyo: Origins, a new entry level game King of Tokyo game by Richard Garfield, into retail on November 1, 2024.
This new standalone game offers players a entry point into the classic board game series as a more affordable package. King of Tokyo: Origins includes four new monsters as well as various new power cards mixed in with reprinted ones. The gameplay is still true to the original version, where players need to destroy their way to 20 victory points or defeat all their opponents.
The game box comes with four Monster boards, a Tokyo board, 50 power cards, 4 cardboard figure, 6 dice, energy cubes, and a rulebook. This game is for two to four players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 30 minutes. It will retail for $29.99.
King of Tokyo Duel will also be released in the U.S. in October 2024 (see "'King of Tokyo Duel'").
