Hachette Boardgames USA will be distributing Edition Spielwiese’s new family-friendly offering in its MicroMacro puzzle line, MicroMacro Kids:  Crazy City Park, set to release in the spring, into the US market.

Like the original MicroMacro series, Crazy City Park features an illustrated poster with detailed characters going about their lives, this time in the city park.  The kid-friendly game challenges players to cooperatively search the park for clues to uncover a variety of mysteries like where the bear cub went, what happened to the dinosaur bone, or how the diamond thief got away.  In total, 22 different mysteries wait to be explored.

MicroMacro Kids:  Crazy City Park is intended for one to four players, ages six and up.  Each mystery takes about half an hour to solve.  It includes a 75cm by 55cm map (about 29.5 by 21.6 inches), a 222-page book with 22 cases, and 20 translucent tokens.  MSRP is $29.99.

The original MicroMacro was released in 2020 to critical acclaim, landing the prestigious Spiel des Jahres award in Germany (see “Winner of ‘Spiel des Jahres’ 2021 Unveiled”).  A trio of MicroMacro games were distributed through Pegasus Spiele, culminating in Showdown (see “Final Chapter of ‘MicroMacro:  Crime City’ Series Heads to Preorder”).  Hachette entered a distribution agreement with Spielwiese last year (see “Hachette Boardgames USA Inks Agreement with Edition Spielwiese”).  The company has announced a number of releases for 2025 (see “Hachette Boardgames to Release Game from ‘The Witcher 3’”).
