Wizards of the Coast has expanded MagicCon: Chicago, an Magic: The Gathering convention, to include Dungeons & Dragons events.
In a move that seemingly naturally cross-pollinates similar audiences, WotC has tacked on a few new D&D events to the upcoming MagicCon: Chicago event in February (see "Calendar"). The new events include a D&D Live celebrity game, Baldur's Gate: Hags to Liches, which will be played out on Mana Stage on February 22, 2025 at 6:30 pm. This game features Aabria Iyengar as the Dungeon Master, Neil Newbon as Astarion, Samantha Béart as Karlach, Devora Wilde as Lae’zel, and Theo Solomon as Wyll Ravengard.
There will also be a special MTG x D&D play event where fans can explore the plane of Tarkir. Additionally, Baldman Games will be previewing select adventures from Legends of Greyhawk, an OP campaign for conventions. Level 20 VIP badge holders can also access other events and three adventures run by DMs: A Village Called Hommlet, Darkness in Nulb, and Ruins of the Moathouse. And, of course, there will be a variety of artists and vendors on site for fans to visit with.
