The original Gantz series was already a hot anime property when Dark Horse picked up the manga license in 2007 (see “Dark Horse Nabs ‘Gantz’ Manga”). The series ran to 37 volumes and was frequently cited as one of the publisher’s top sellers (see “Interview with Carl Horn”).

Dark Horse has announced a three-in-one omnibus of Gantz: G, the three-volume spinoff of Hiroya Oku’s Gantz that follows a group of students who are killed in a bus accident and are resurrected to fight aliens in a futuristic game. Gantz: G, written by Oku and Tomohito Ohsaki, with art by Keita Iizuka, was originally licensed in 2018 (see “Dark Horse Picks Up ‘Gantz’ and ‘Danganronpa’ Sequels”) and published as three volumes. The Gantz: G omnibus will be a 656-page paperback with a standard manga trim size (5.125” x 7.25”) and will be released on September 30, 2025, with an MSRP of $29.99.
