Mark Russell, the Eisner Award-winning writer of Superman: Space Age, Second Coming, and The Flintstones, will pen a six-issue sci-fi anthology series, Vanishing Point, to be published by Mad Cave Studios. Each issue will feature a different artist working on a self-contained story that is interconnected with the others, and each story will have a Twilight Zone vibe, with an entertaining narrative that explores questions about the nature of humanity. The artists for the project include Juan Doe, Ryan Alexander-Tanner, Alberto Ponticelli, and Jok, along with colorists Sidney Davidson and Ellie Wright. The first issue, "Scream," with artwork by Doe, will be released on May 7, 2025, with covers by Christian Ward and Doe, and will feature a story about the captain of a mining ship who makes a horrifying discovery on a solo trip to the Jupiter Asteroid Belt.
Russell also wrote a story for Oni's EC Comics series, Epitaphs from the Abyss (see "Oni Press Expands EC Line").
