Marvel Comics will launch a New Thunderbolts ongoing series this summer, kicking off the first issue with a variant cover by Mark Bagley.  The new series will be written by Sam Humphrise, with art by Ton Lima.  The issue will also feature an "A" cover and Virgin Variant Cover by Stephen Segovia.

In the series, Bucky Barnes and Black Widow discover a threat to the Marvel Universe and recruit a super-group to help them.  Characters in the group will include Eddie Brock: Carnage, The Hulk, Namor, Clea, and Wolverine in addition to The Winter Soldier and Black Widow.

"Assembling a super team is like inviting the right combination of guests to a dinner party," Humphries said of the group in a statement accompanying the announcement.  "So I imagined a dangerous, disastrous, unhinged Marvel dinner party, and went with that."

Street date is June 11, about a month after the release of Marvel's new Thunderbolts feature film on May 2 (see "’Thunderbolts’ Trailer").
