DC has announced more details about Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong 2, the sequel to the DC/Legendary crossover that brought the monsters of film into the world of the Justice League. The creative team of writer Brian Buccellato, artist Christian Duce, and colorist Luis Guerrero is staying on, but the action shifts to Legendary’s Monsterverse as the Justice League travels there to foil Task Force X’s plan to create hybrid Titans. The seven-issue story will pit “titanized” versions of DC characters against the Legendary monsters. Col. Lee Shaw, who first appeared in the 2014 graphic novel Godzilla: Awakening, will also make an appearance. The first issue of Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong 2 will go on sale on June 4, 2025, with a main cover by Duce and variant covers by Dan Mora, Alan Quah, Gabriel Hardman, John Giang, Kevin Maguire, and Carlos D’Anda.

The first Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong limited series debuted in October 2023 (see “DC and Legendary to Cross Over”), and the collected edition sold well enough to make the BookScan Top 20 (see “July 2024 Circana BookScan”) as well as the ComicHub chart of the top graphic novels in comic shops for the full year 2024 (see “Top 20 Graphic Novels – Full Year 2024”). DC announced the sequel at New York Comic Con in 2024 (see “DC Announces”).
