DC made three new title announcements at the annual “Jim Lee & Friends” panel at New York Comic Con, in addition to the Vertigo news (see “DC Bringing Back Vertigo”).

Lee and Jeph Loeb kicked off the panel with the news that there will be a sequel to their Batman: Hush. The new series, Hush 2, will run in the ongoing Batman series in 2025, with a prequel in Justice League Unlimited #1, slated for release on November 27. DC included the original Batman: Hush in the first wave of their beginner-friendly Compact Comics (see “DC Launches New Line of ‘Compact Comics’”).

Tim Seeley and Mitch Gerads then announced Peacemaker Presents: The Vigilante/Eagly Double Feature. DC Studios Co-CEO James Gunn will be the story consultant for the five-issue limited series, which will pair a Vigilante story by Seeley and Gerads with an Eagly story by Rex Ogle and Matteo Lolli. The stories will be set between the first and second seasons of the HBO Peacemaker series (see “‘Peacemaker’ Soars into S2”)

The DC Universe/Legendary Monsterverse crossover Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong will continue with a sequel series, Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong 2, which will launch in June 2025. Legendary’s Robert Napton and writer Brian Buccellato revealed that the action will shift to the Monsterverse for the sequel, which will find the League trying to head off the DC super-villains’ attempts to weaponize the Titans. The series will feature “titanized” versions of the DC characters as well as Colonel Shaw and new Titans, including Ghidorah, Rodan, and Mothra.
