Joe Quesada and Chistopher Priest have collaborated on a new project reviving the Marvel Knights imprint: Marvel Knights: The World to Come. The six-issue series begins in Wakanda, where T'Challa's absence is leading to global conflicts that result in a new leader of Wakanda and a new world for Marvel.
The new series will launch June 4, with story by Joe Quesada & Christopher Priest, written by Priest with art and wraparound cover by Quesada and colors by Richard Isanove.
The Marvel Knights imprint, originally launched in the late 1990s as titles managed creatively by Joe Quesada and Jimmy Palmiotti’s Event Comics, morphed in 2006 to a showcase for self-contained limited series featuring characters "off the beaten path" (see "Marvel Retools Marvel Knights"). By the early 10s, it was mostly moribund for new material. Marvel released a comic miniseries and a series of collections on the 20th anniversary of the imprint in 2018 (see "Preview: Marvel Knights 20th Anniversary").
