The new edition of Uwe Rosenberg's classic game (see "'Agricola 15th Anniversary Box'") comes from a collaboration between Lookout Games and Awaken Realms. It is an "ultimate edition" of the game that includes all the previously released decks as well as an Irrigation expansion which is only available in the Special Edition. The game has gotten a complete makeover with new artwork, and the crowdfunding campaign offers a number of upgrade packs and expansion options, including miniatures and acrylic pieces to replace tokens.

Agricola: Special Edition is for one to six players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 90 minutes. Thus far, no there is no word about a retail release for this game.
