A posting on the G4 Network's Anime Unleashed Webpage announces: 'This show is not currently scheduled.  Check back for updates!'  While it is not certain that the video game-oriented G4 Network is dumping the Anime Unleashed block it inherited from Tech TV, it is clear that G4 is dropping the late night anime block for now -- right in the middle of showings of RahXephon and Cromartie High.

Anime Unleashed has presented a wide range of cool anime offerings from ADV, Geneon, and Bandai including (to name a few) Serial Experiments Lain and Crest of the Stars to Last Exile, Gungrave, RahXephon, Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, and Cromartie High.  When contacted by ICv2 a spokesman for ADV, while uncertain about the fate of Anime Unleashed, noted: 'G4 has been a great broadcast partner for ADV, and it's clear from the fan mail we've received that many anime fans enjoy the network.'

While the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim remains the number one late night anime venue on American TV, Anime Unleashed will be missed (at least until it returns from this mysterious hiatus).
