Dave Brzeski of The House On The Borderland in Peterborough, United Kingdom comments the upcoming season of The Flash (see "'Flash' Comic-Con Reel Reveals Zoom as 2nd Season Antagonist").
I'm looking forward to Season 2, really I am, BUT… really, can they come up with no other ideas for the show, other than introduce more people who run fast?
It seems to be common to most of the TV superhero shows and films. Starling City is pretty much infested with archers. If they give the Atom his own spinoff show, would it run more than 2 episodes before they introduce a shrinking villain?
They have, of course, done that from the outset with the Ant-Man movie. The Supergirl TV pilot has her up against Kryptonians from the Phantom Zone.
The idea of the hero's opposite, but equal is a common trope of the comics, but the film & TV industries seem hopelessly addicted to it. Are they so lacking in imagination that the only possible adversaries they can come up with for the heroes are villains with much the same powers?
I suppose they're holding Bart Allen back for Season 3.
