The Secret Life of Pets 2 debuted with $48 million, a massive 54% drop from the opening of the first film in the franchise, but it was enough to top the weekend box office with ease, as Fox's last X-Men movie Dark Phoenix made sure that the studio’s once proud X-Men franchise would go out with a whimper rather than bang.

Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures’ Godzilla: King of the Monsters took the weekend box office crown with an estimated $49 million debut, though that was barely better than half the $93 million opening of Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla in 2014.

These are unit and dollar sales rankings based on sales tracked at point-of-sale by the ComicHub system at stores selling American graphic novels (and manga) around the world.

Worldwide sales by CMON Ltd. were roughly flat in 2023, at $45.1 million vs. $45.3 million in 2022, the company reported in its annual financial statements.
