Diamond shipped over 230,000 copies of Superman #204 to North American comic stores in April, the best single-copy piece sale since Batman #619 last September.

These are estimates of the sales by Diamond U.S. to comic specialty stores during February 2004.

Comic sales in July stayed true to form, with Batman topping the list, Marvel taking the most slots (19 out of the top 25), and roughly the same number of titles up as down in the top 25.

The power of the #1 issue was on display in the list of the Top 300 comics shipped in May.

Batman topped the rankings of U.S. orders from comic stores for January, with over 120,000 copies ordered -- up over the second Jim Lee issue, which was up over the first.

Following the trend established in October, comic store orders on most top comics slipped again in November, with only five of the top twenty-five posting increases (all below #15).

Initial piece orders from comic stores on the top comic titles in July were buoyed by the addition of two first issues that both sold well over 100,000 copies, Transformers Armada #1 and Battle of the Planets #1, at the number one and number three positions respectively.

The best-selling comic title for March 2002, New X-Men , has initial raw orders to Diamond US of only around 104,000 copies, the lowest quantity for a #1 comic title since April of last year.

Variety is reporting that Fox has shut down work on a pilot for a revival of the fan favorite Battlestar Galactica television series.
