The Dog Days of August don’t typically see the release of great films on disc, and this week is no exception with three of the summer of 2017’s many box office duds getting home entertainment releases including a frenetic Arthurian fantasy from Guy Ritchie, a rare comic misfire from Amy Schumer, and a failed “reboot” of the Wimpy Kid series, though this week’s lineup is leavened a bit by new seasons of Portlandia and Blindspot as well as the disc debut of Tokyo Ravens .

The big fall home entertainment releases are still a few weeks away, but this week the caper comedy Going in Style offers sheer entertainment, while the social media-examining The Circle raises plenty of interesting questions, the dark comedy Big Little Lies features a A-level cast in a prestige series that has been nominated for 14 Emmy Awards, while the BBC series Fortitude is a claustrophobic thriller set on the top of the world, and Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin is a 2015 retelling of the original Gundam TV anime.
