Variety is reporting that Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell will appear in a multi-episode story arc in the next season of Heroes, beginning in October.  Bell was only available for a story arc because of multiple other commitments, including a role in Fanboys, the long-gestating Star Wars love poem. 

Like Heroes, Veronica Mars was a cult hit (albeit on a smaller scale), and its cancellation was much lamented (see 'CW Cancels Veronica Mars').  Now Bell appears to be finding her way into roles that reach a similar audience, taking advantage of the fan base of the cancelled series.
