Andy Serkis, who played Gollum in Peter Jackson's LOTR films, has been signed to play an undisclosed (not the title) role in the upcoming TinTin feature film trilogy.  One film of the three will be directed by Jackson (see 'Peter Jackson, Spielberg to Direct TinTin Movies').  That's the first casting news we've seen for the films based on the Herge comics; a writer has been assigned (see 'TinTin Gets a Writer').
