According to The Hollywood Reporter Sony Pictures Animation and Scott Rosenberg’s Platinum Studios are joining forces to produce an animated feature based on a character or characters from Platinum’s library of comic book characters.  Sony Pictures Animation, which was formed in 2002, has produced the Open Season and Surf’s Up animated feature films and is currently working on three additional animated features, Hotel Transylvania, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, and a Smurfs movie. 

 

The Reporter did not identify the property from the Platinum library that SPA is going to turn into an animated movie.
