Tron topped all other movies in the amount of merchandise shipped into the U.S. for the holiday season, according to information from Panjiva reported by Hollywood Reporter.  Panjiva tracks incoming containers, and for the August through October sell-in season, Tron accounted for 187 containers landing at American ports.  It was followed by Megamind, with 158 containers.  Tangled and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 were #3 and #4, respectively.

Although 187 containers seems like a lot, recall that Toy Story 3 accounted for 724 containers prior to its release earlier this year (see “Toy Story 3 Tops in Merchandise”), with Iron Man 2 accounting for 474 containers in the same report.
