In this fascinating featurette Johnny Depp presents a short history of the screen vampire as well as an in-depth look at his portrayal of Barnabas Collins. Both Depp and director Tim Burton get plenty of screen time in this cool little feature, which will undoubtedly be part of the "extras" on the Dark Shadows home entertainment releases, but the coolest thing is the way the filmmakers treat screen vampire icons Christopher Lee and Jonathan Frid, whose classic turns as screen vampires are acknowledged in Dark Shadows.
In a bold counter-programming move, that may or may not work out, Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows debuts nationwide on May 11th, just a week after Joss Whedon’s The Avengers opens (see "Finally, the 'Dark Shadows' Trailer & Poster").
Homage to Christopher Lee & Jonathan Frid
