Dynamite Entertainment has announced that Brandon Jerwa (G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, Pantha) will assume the writing duties on Vampirella starting with issue #21, which debuts in July.  Jerwa will take over from Eric Trautman, who has written the first twenty issues of Dynamite's Vampirella series.  Jerwa and Trautman collaborated on Wide Awake, which appeared in Popgun Vol. 2, so the hand-off of Vampirella writing chores should be virtually seamless.

 

But Jerwa does have new plans for the sexy heroine, which will be apparent to anyone who reads issue #21, which begins a new story arc "Inquisition," that should also provide a new jumping-on spot for readers who want to catch up on the latest adventures of the Queen of horror comics.
