The Weinstein Company has released a new trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, a homage to the spaghetti western set in the pre-Civil War Deep South. The film, which stars Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington, and Samuel L. Jackson, is slated to debut on December 25th, 2012.
DC Comics has a 5-issue miniseries adaptation based directly on Tarantino’s screenplay with art by R.M. Guera (Scalped). The miniseries adapts the entire screenplay including many scenes that won’t likely make it onto the screen (see "DC to Publish 'Django Unchained' Miniseries"). The first issue of the Django Unchained miniseries ships on December 5th with the second slated for January 2nd. The first issue ships with a movie key art cover and a Jim Lee-created 1:25 variant.
