Iron Man 3 director Shane Black has confirmed that he is still attached to direct Doc Savage, and will be turning to it now that work on Iron Man is completed, according to Collider.   Sony was willing to wait for him to finish IM3, he told Collider.  Producer Neal Moritz (Green Hornet) also confirmed that Black was still on the film.  Black was first tied to the film in 2010 (see "'Doc Savage' Movie").

Products tied to the property have been limited, especially since DC ended its pulp-based comic titles (see "DC Dumps the Pulps"), but presumably that will change if the movie is greenlit.
