Burger King has announced that a Justice League promotion will start at its restaurants next Monday, April 21.  Eight action toys featuring the characters from the Cartoon Network's Justice League animated series will be given away in Kids Meals, as well as individual 12-page mini-comics with storylines based on the activities associated with each toy.  According to the announcement, this '...will be one of the largest per custom-comic project print runs ever published!'

The promotion will also carry over to the Cartoon Network Website, where codes in the toy packaging can be used to win cToon online trading cards and other items.  The cToons can be used to win screen savers, BK gift certificates, and more toys.  There will also be an online sweepstakes for which the grand prize will be a guest appearance in a Justice League comic book and the original artwork for it.  The promotion will be supported by animated advertising featuring the DC characters, in-restaurant communication, BK mailings, and a BK micro-site.

This promotion can do a lot to remind kids that the Justice League characters originally came from comics that are still being published, a great positive for the industry.
