Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has had a continuous slide in ratings since its auspicious premiere, according to Variety. The show has declined every week since the first episode, hitting new lows this week with 6.67 million live viewers, compared to 11.9 million the first week (see "'S.H.I.E.L.D.' Premiere Best in Four Years in Demo"). That’s a 44% decline, with the biggest drop the first week (see "'S.H.I.E.L.D.' Drops 30%").
S.H.I.E.L.D. is bleeding viewers even faster than its overall decline in the coveted 18-49 demo, where it was at a record low 2.2 rating this week, vs. a 4.7 the first week.
ABC ordered the final nine episodes of the first season in October (see "'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Picked Up for a Full Season").
