IDW Publishing and Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products have announced a new Edward Scissorhands miniseries, which will debut on October 22.
The five-issue miniseries will be written by Kate Leth (Adventure Time ) with art by Drew Rausch (Eldritch!, Haunted Mansion) and covers by Gabriel Rodriguez (Locke & Key). The story revisits the star of the 1990s cult movie hit, two decades into his self-exile in the castle. As he digs through his creator’s abandoned experiments, he wakes up a creature who is also missing a vital piece of itself. When Edward tries to fix his mistake, he comes in contact with the granddaughter of girl he once knew.
The 32-page first issue will have a subscription variant by Gabriel Hardman (Star Wars: Legacy, Hulk), and Diamond lists a second photo incentive cover for which art has not appeared. IDW has also posted this additional cover (below), by series artist Drew Rausch, on its website this week.
