Score has announced the October release of a collectible card game based on Rumiko Takahashi's popular anime and manga series, Inu-Yasha.  The Inu-Yasha anime series has received great exposure on the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim late night programming block -- and the recent acquisition of additional episodes by the Cartoon Network means that this series should be around for quite a while.  Score spokesperson Deanna Cass told ICv2 that the Inu-Yasha CCG will be a core hobby product with no mass merchant distribution.  Cass told ICv2, 'that's (the hobby) where we feel the market for this product is,' adding, 'we think it appeals to a slightly older demographic than our Yu Yu Hakusho or Dragon Ball CCGs.'

The first wave of boosters, which will ship in October, will unleash the 280-card basic set.  Score plans to follow up with 140-card expansions for the Inu-Yasha CCG every 3-4 months.
